Atlanta United, powered by second-half goals from South American stars Josef Martinez and Hector Villalba, defeated the Philadelphia Union 2-0 on Saturday, at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, PA.
Following the result, in his post-match press conference, Philadelphia Union coach Jim Curtin hailed his team’s performance, calling it a “solid” one. I happen to agree with Curtin. Partly.
It was a ‘tale of two halves’ for Philadelphia on Saturday night, with the Union falling to visiting Atlanta United 2-0, after two second half goals courtesy of Major League Soccer’s leading scorer, Josef Martinez, and Hector Villalba.
