Philadelphia Union 

Andre Blake re-Signs 

On Monday, sources confirmed to Goal’s Ives Galarcep that Andre Blake has signed a new multi-year deal with the Philadelphia Union, making the Jamaican one of the highest-paid goalkeepers in Major League Soccer and keeping him in Chester for the foreseeable future.

Union Not Looking to Trade Up

On Monday, MLS writer Sam Stejskal pushed back on the rumor that the Union are looking to trade up on Friday in the upcoming SuperDraft, which will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Stejskal, during a live broadcast of the MLS combine on Sunday, had this to say:

“I’ve heard today that there (is) no truth to the rumors that the Union want to move up. I’ve heard that they’re comfortable kind of where they’re at. I’ve heard that they’re not trying to move up. You know, we’ll see. That could be posturing. These things are kind of complicated. Everybody’s playing the game.”

Crossing Broad’s Kevin Kinkead was the first to report the rumor via Twitter, in which he cited unnamed sources. As it stands, the Union do not have a pick until the third round of Friday’s draft, in which they will make their first selection at 54th overall.

Major League Soccer

Orlando City Sign Colman 

On Monday, Orlando City SC announced the signing of 19-year-old midfielder Josue Colman from Paraguayan club Cerro Porteño. According to head coach Jason Kreis, the Lions have been pursuing Colman during the last two transfer windows.

It appears the Lions finally have their man. Colman is the club’s second addition of the winter, following the blockbuster acquisition of Sacha Kljestan from the New York Red Bulls.

Beckerman re-Signs With Real Salt Lake

On Tuesday, Real Salt Lake confirmed that long-serving captain Kyle Beckerman has re-signed with the club.

Beckerman has played for RSL since 2007 and is set to play his 12th season for the Claret-and-Cobalt. Currently, the RSL captain leads MLS in regular-season games played (432), games started (403) and minutes played (36,020) among all field players.

Arsenal in Aubameyang Talks

Arsenal have continued to hold talks with German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, regarding the purchase of star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to ESPN’s sources, the Gunners are waiting for Alexis Sanchez’s future to be determined before agreeing to a deal with Dortmund. Arsenal are confident a deal can be done, following Aubameyang’s request to leave the club.

Everton Set to Sign Walcott

A new Gunner may be on his way in while a long-time Arsenal player is currently on his way out.

Theo Walcott is set to join Everton in a £20 million move to the blue Merseyside, which is expected to be wrapped up in the next 24 to 48 hours. Walcott joined the North London club from the Southhampton academy as a 16-year-old in 2006. He has since made 270 appearances for Arsenal.

The 28-year-old is set to undergo a medical with the Toffees in the next 24 hours.
