Philadelphia Union

Bethlehem Steel FC Sign Holness

No, the Philadelphia Union haven’t been quick to sign anyone in this current transfer window. But Bethlehem Steel have and on Tuesday the club added another versatile and speedy midfielder to their roster.

Steel, the Union’s USL affiliate club announced the signing of former Real Salt Lake midfielder Omar Holness. Holness, 23, has spent the last two seasons with RSL and their USL affiliate, Real Monarchs.

A native of Kingston, Jamaica, Holness was the fifth overall selection in the 2016 Major League Soccer SuperDraft.

Holness is the latest player added to Bethlehem’s roster. On Monday, the club announced it had signed former New York Red Bulls and Georgetown University forward Brandon Allen.

Bethlehem’s 2018 roster is now comprised of seven players.

Atlanta United Announce USL Team

Atlanta United announced Tuesday their new USL affiliate, Atlanta United 2.

LA Galaxy Land Kitchen 

A familiar face is returning to MLS.

LA announced Tuesday the signing of former D.C. United midfielder, Perry Kitchen. Kitchen, 25, has jumped around Europe in the last two years, playing in Scotland with Heart of Midlothian and in Denmark with Randers FC.

Columbus Crew SC Sign Sosa 

Columbus announced Tuesday the signing of Venezuelan midfielder, Eduardo Sosa. Sosa, 21, joins Crew SC from Zamora FC of Venezuela’s topflight. There, Sosa helped Zamora capture three domestic titles in five years with the club.

RSL Ink Henley 

RSL announced Tuesday the signing of Welsh-American defender, Adam Henley.

Henley, 23, was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, but moved to England at the age of two, where he rose up through the Blackburn Rovers academy. Henley made 80 appearances for Rovers in both the English Premier League and Championship.

Henley last played first-team minutes for the Houston Dynamo in 2016.

Colorado Rapids Bring in Castillo on Loan

Colorado announced Tuesday the acquisition of U.S. international, Edgar Castillo, from Liga MX outfit C.F. Monterrey. Castillo will join the Rapids on a year-long loan with an option for the club to make the deal permanent.

And then there’s the Philadelphia Union.
